Dr. Jim Spahn is a retired head and neck surgeon with more than thirty years experience in soft tissue survival and pressure ulcer prevention and treatment. Today, he shares his expertise with wound care specialists throughout the world by offering online and live seminars. He is actively involved in the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel and has a special interest in current federal regulations that affect the health care community.

Spahn has received numerous requests to begin a seminar series on the Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) for doctors and their wound care teams. He believes that it is imperative for all caregivers to become knowledgeable about the latest government rulings that are soon to impact all wound care decisions in hospitals.
