Decreasing Pressure Ulcer Nosocomial Rates in a Large Metropolitan Teaching Hospital

In this study prevalence data indicated a significant rate increase in the critically ill population with nosocomial rates as high as 36%. The goal was for nosocomial breakdown to be at or below the national benchmark. The needs in the ICU are different than in the Med-Surg population.
