St. Raphael Study - The Effectiveness of Two Heel Reduction Devices for Heel Pressure Ulcer Prevention

The purpose of this study was to compare two lower limb devices by measuring interface pressures at the heel for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. Heel pressure ulcers constitute 30% of all pressure ulcers in hospitalized patients. While many treatments are available to heal pressure ulcers, prevention remains the best method of treatment.
